Each station has its own Peltier-type heating/chilling plate, allowing two sets of samples to be maintained at different temperatures simultaneously
Unloaded temperature ranges from -10°C to 100°C (-20°C to 100°C on the XT model)
Each station has a dedicated timer and data-logger
Compact size saves space on a crowded lab bench
Two internal fans remove heat buildup within the unit
Digital display shows set-point temperature and measured temperature of both plates
Buffer light on the front panel (next to Power light) indicates when the unit is collecting data points
Remote access to data via the RS232 I/O port
Optional aluminum blocks are black anodized for better heat transfer and protection from spills, with the bottoms of the blocks machined to nest onto the plate to prevent movement
Applications: enzyme reactions and deactivations; substitute for an ice bucket; temporary storage of DNA or other biological materials at the workstation; sample incubation or freezing
