These versatile units feature a one-inch long drip edge on top that provides protection to internal components in case of accidental spillage; they are thus ideal for sample drying and evaporating liquids. Their demand-type thermostatic control holds the top surface temperature within ± 5°C at 371°C. All units include an integral ringstand holder to accomodate .5" (13 mm) diameter support rod.

Like the standard Nuova™ units, these versatile hot plates feature a one-inch long drip edge on top that provides protection to internal components in case of accidental spillage; they are thus ideal for sample drying and evaporating liquids. They add a stirring mechanism that provides uniform low-speed stirring without stalling. Their demand-type thermostatic control holds the top surface temperature within ± 5°C at 371°C. The aluminum housing dissipates the heat of the motor and control, preventing heatup of the stirring surface during stirring-only operations. Comes with Teflon® coated stirring bar, 2" x .38" (51 mm x 10 mm) in diameter, and a three-wire plug cord and plug.

Super-Nuova™ Digital Hot Plate and Stirring Hot Plate

These premium aluminum-top hot plates provide precise digital control of top plate and solution temperatures in 1° increments. Four user-presets let you call up often-repeated procedures. A magnetic stir bar provides the vortex motion to evenly disperse chemical in solution and/or heat. All models below are 120V with 7" x 7" (178 mm x 178 mm) tops; 220V and ceramic top models also available in several sizes.
